OGT ran a stall at the recent Faringdon Heritage day (September 15th 2018) to highlight the unique fossils that are found in the area. A display case with specimens from the Faringdon Sponge Gravels was presented to the town council and received on their behalf by the Mayor’s Cadet.

The display showed some of the unusual sponge fossils found at Wicklesham quarry. Guides were on sale for geological trails around Faringdon and other localities.
